Tottenham Hotspur reach agreement with Valencia for Tanguy Ndombele over loan deal

According to Telefoot journalist Julien Maynard (h/t ESPN), Tottenham Hotspur and Valencia have reached an agreement for the loan transfer of Tanguy Ndombele. He has seen himself get cast aside by Antonio Conte in recent weeks, resulting in his current predicament.

Ndombele has been put on the outgoing shortlist in the January transfer window as a result of falling out of favour with the former Inter Milan manager. The La Liga side is interested in signing the midfielder, and they have now agreed over the terms involved in a loan deal with Tottenham.

However, all is not done as the 25-year-old may not agree to move to Spain since he has eyes elsewhere. Paris Saint-Germain are in the fray to getting his services and the player has a preference to move to France over other clubs.

More obstacles

It is understandable if the Frenchman wants to move to PSG since returning to his home country could help him play in a favourable and comfortable environment, unlike his time with us.

Mauricio Pochettino, who is the current PSG manager, was also the man to bring Ndombele to N17. Moreover, it was in the French top flight with Olympique Lyon where he initially broke onto the scene and subsequently popped up on our radars.

If the Spurs star believes rejoining with Pochettino could also play a part in helping him find his feet again, then we cannot really blame him. After all, his return to form would only help us in the long run- for either integrating him into the team or offloading him permanently.

The Ligue 1 side is monitoring the situation surrounding the France international and with not many days left in the winter transfer market, they would be smart to formalize their interest in him.

However, if for any reason Ndombele cannot move to Parc des Princes, Fabio Paratici and co would be wise to convince the Tottenham midfielder to accept the offer from Los Murcielagos, who currently sit 10th in La Liga. Let’s hope that we can find an outcome that would be in our best interest in the next few days.

This deal assumes even more importance after Fabrizio Romano’s claim that Spurs need to offload one of Ndombele or Dele Alli before finalizing a move for Sofyan Amrabat this month.
