Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal pursue Torino wing-back Wilfried Singo in the summer transfer window

According to Tuttosport (h/t Express), 21-year-old Torino wing-back Wilfried Singo is one of the players on Antonio Conte’s radar who could be eyeing a squad reshuffle at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer.

The young right-back has had a decent season with the Italian club so far. He has been involved in 26 matches across all competitions scoring three goals and bagging four assists during that period. The Ivorian professional footballer is also being linked with bitter rivals Arsenal at the moment.

Antonio Conte prefers to play with a three-man defence in his teams. This puts a lot of the creative burden on the wing-backs and also gives them the license to get forward and contribute to the attacking department.

Transfer News: Wilfried Singo is on the radar of Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal

Whilst the club does possess options like Matt Doherty and Emerson Royal in the role, none of them have left their mark with consistent performances. The former Wolverhampton Wanderers wing-back did manage to put on an excellent show against Leeds United in their last Premier League fixture and the Spurs faithful would be hoping that it would help elevate his game to the next level.

That being said, Singo seems like a great option to boost healthy competitions amongst the squad. He would also add more depth for the North Londoners and could even compete for a starting position should his performance help the club.

The Lilywhites seem to be headed in a bit of a rebuilding phase at the moment. Antonio Conte would be looking to add more players after his side have struggled to break opposition defences on a more regular basis this season.

The Ivorian professional footballer has had a pretty decent season and offers a lot going forward. At 21, Singo could still have a vast majority of his footballing years ahead of him and would prove to be a good long-term acquisition.

The side from N-17 have let go of quite a few players like Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, and Bryan Gil on loan spells with Dele Alli departing on a permanent move. The addition of a young and exciting wing-back could become the perfect catalyst for the rebuild should Conte want to create something substantial with the club.

According to Caliciomercato (h/t Express), the likes of Juventus and AC Milan are also thought to be interested in the 21-year-old wing-back. Fabio Paratici may just again have to use his negotiating skills if he is to bring Wilfried Singo to Hotspur Way in the summer.
