Predicted Tottenham Hotspur line-up to take on West Ham United in the Premier League

The Tottenham Hotspur VS West Ham United match could be full of drama. The Spurs rebounded against Brighton & Hove Albion after a humiliating defeat against Manchester United. Now they are scheduled to take on the Hammers this Sunday. But the tie wouldn’t be an easy one for Conte’s men.

West Ham is returning to the Premier League after completing a remarkable 2-1 comeback against Sevilla in the Europa League. The Hammers’ performance in the Premier League also has been attractive this season. Still standing higher than Tottenham in the League table, David Moyes’ team doesn’t seem to be in the mood of throwing away their position easily.

Team News

The Tottenham contingent didn’t pick any new injury concerns in their last win against Brighton & Hove Albion. So, Antonio Conte will likely have his entire squad except for Ryan Sessegnon, Oliver Skipp and Japhet Tanganga, who were also absent in the last match. Even though Sessegnon is showing signs of a speedy recovery, there is uncertainty over the fitness of the other two.

Antonio Conte will most likely use an unchanged line-up against Brighton. Even though the defence has looked shaky on a few occasions, Conte’s choices are limited. Harry Kane’s red-hot form coupled with Kulusevski and Son’s high contributions implies there will be no altercation in the frontline. The midfield combination of Bentancur, Hojbjerg and Reguilon has worked wonders in the last few matches.

Probable Tottenham Hotspur XI

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Hugo Lloris (GK)

Hugo Lloris kept a clean sheet against Brighton, suggesting the experienced goalkeeper is still reliable inside the sticks.

Cristian Romero (CB)

After coming back from injury, Romero has been actively participating in the team’s combination plays. He picked up a goal in the last game, which will certainly give him the boost for the next game.

Eric Dier (CB)

Another central defender who excelled in his job after coming back from injury. Dier has been Conte’s first choice since he arrived in the North London team. As the English man is fit and ready, there wouldn’t be any changes in the backline.

Ben Davies (CB)

The Welsh man has hardly missed Premier League fixtures in this campaign. Proving to be a great defensive asset under Conte, Davies gave another brilliant performance against Brighton.

Matt Doherty (RWB)

Doherty was close to an exit in the January transfer window. But he has impressed the Italian manager with his excellent form lately. Conte chose the Irishman over Emerson Royal once again in the last game.

Rodrigo Bentancur (CM)

Bentancur picked up an assist in the last game. His involvement in the game rises every passing match. This is pretty early to assess his performance, but he could fulfil Spurs’ need for a creative player in the middle of the park.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM)

Hojbjerg has become the core of Conte’s midfield. If the Danish star continues to provide such top-level performance, he would have a large claim on the Tottenham player of the season award.

Sergio Reguilon (LWB)

Until Ryan Sessegnon comes back from his injury, Sergio Reguilon is the only viable candidate for the left wing-back role. His pace and dribbling abilities are proving to be helpful during counterattacks.

Dejan Kulusevski (RW)

There is no doubt Kulusevski has become an instant hit at Tottenham. The Swedish forward assisted Romero’s opener in the last match. He has strengthened the depth and has given Conte breathing space while deciding on his frontline.

Harry Kane (ST)

Still one of the top performers of Tottenham Hotspur, Harry Kane didn’t fail to amaze in the last match. After scoring the goal against Brighton, the Englishman (178) moved closer to Premier League’s fourth-highest goalscorer, Sergio Aguero’s record (184).

Son Heung-min (LW)

The arrival of Bentancur has helped Son to play more freely. However, his job remains the same, scoring goals and creating chances for his forward partners.

Tottenham Hotspur VS West Ham United

West Ham is no doubt looking like a giant killer at this moment. However, David Moyes will be without his star performer Jarrod Bowen due to injury concerns. On the other hand, Conte’s men are looking sharper after their last win. It seems the Spurs’ players are finding rhythm under the Italian manager. Furthermore, the winter arrivals have mostly been helpful until now. So we are going for a 2-1 win for Tottenham Hotspur.
