Fans react on Twitter as Tottenham Hotspur record impressive victory over West Ham United in the London derby

Tottenham Hotspur make it back-to-back victories in the Premier League as they bagged a crucial win against West Ham United today. The North Londoners broke the deadlock on the day with an own goal by Kurt Zouma in the 9th minute.

Son Heung-Min then went on to double the lead in the 24th minute. Spurs seemed to be in cruise control but a bit of questionable defending from Matt Doherty resulted in a corner for the Hammers in the 35th minute.

Said Benrahma pulled one back via this corner as he found himself completely unmarked at the back post as he slotted the ball past Hugo Lloris. The Korean international put the tie to bed after he found the back of the net once again in the 88th minute as a brilliant Harry Kane header put him through one on one with Lukasz Fabianski.

This victory takes us closer to Arsenal who sit fourth in the PL table with a lead of three points and a game in hand over us. This win would certainly give the players a big boost heading into the business end of the season.

The Lilwyhites are out of every other competition at the moment. A top-four finish could be the most realistic target if they are to salvage anything worth noting in this campaign. Only the future can predict whether or not the club achieves this goal but the signs sure look promising at the moment.

Some fans react as Tottenham Hotspur down West Ham United in an impressive attacking performance

Not only did Tottenham Hotspur secure a great victory but controlled the position and got into some great attacking positions throughout the game.

January signings Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur put in a great shift today and Antonio Conte will be looking to use this as a launching pad to create a team that can hopefully fight for silverware next season.

As it stands, Spurs are 5th in the table after 29 games played, with just 3 points behind Arsenal. However, the Gunners have one game in hand and despite the loss against Liverpool, are in better form than us. Here is how our fans reacted on Twitter to this important PL win:
