Tammy Abraham has no desire to leave AS Roma amidst Tottenham Hotspur interest
According to the Italian newspaper Tuttosport [Print Edition] via Inside Futbol (h/t The Mirror), Tammy Abraham has no intentions to leave AS Roma amidst interest from Tottenham Hotspur for a move in the summer transfer window. He only moved to Stadio Olimpico at the start of this season, so this update is not surprising, to say the least.
Roma bought Abraham from Chelsea in the summer of 2021 for a fee of £34million. Tottenham are assessing their options to target the centre-forward, with Harry Kane’s future at N17 being surrounded by uncertainty. The English club are hopeful that Kane will stay with them, but they are preparing for a worst-case scenario.
However, the former Blues man has no interest in leaving the Italian side after just joining them at the beginning of this term. Moreover, the Serie A club are also in the same boat as they want him to stay with them despite having an opportunity to cash in on the striker. Jose Mourinho is on a similar page, having built a project around the star man.
Striker concerns for Spurs
It is a frightening thought to even think about Kane’s future prospects as we near the summer transfer window. He has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United after failing to move to Manchester City last summer.
It is touted that the England skipper is becoming likely to depart Antonio Conte’s side with each passing day. Despite that claim, we remain hopeful that our manager can help convince our talisman to stay with us in our attempt to finally win silverware after a long time.
However, the North Londoners must always prepare for the worst, and Abraham would have been a great shout if we could have signed him. But a potential move seems to be out of the cards, considering neither Mourinho’s side nor the striker wants to part ways with each other at the end of this campaign.

Hence, we must divert our attention elsewhere and find a suitable replacement as we are nearing the end of the season. Kane’s potential exit would undoubtedly leave a major gap that needs to be filled at all costs.
However, replacing a man of Kane’s talents would be a challenging task, and we need to find adequate alternatives in case of a departure. Let’s hope that we will not see that outcome happen this summer, especially when we are looking to build a strong project under Conte.
