Tottenham Hotspur get Youri Tielemans transfer boost after Champions League qualification
According to ESPN, Tottenham Hotspur have received a transfer boost in their pursuit of Youri Tielemans after achieving Champions League qualification recently. The former earned a spot in next season’s highly prestigious competition following their 5-0 win against Norwich City yesterday.
Arsenal’s slump towards the tail end of the Premier League season saw them hand out the top four initiative to Tottenham, which they have used in the best possible manner. The prospect of playing in the CL has significantly boosted the latter’s ability to attract top-notch players in the summer transfer window.
That seems to be the case with Tielemans as well, who is targeted by Spurs at this moment. Nothing is finalised at this stage, but they would be boosted by the new element, which could potentially lend them a hand in completing transfers for their desired targets.
Tielemans to join Spurs?
The Belgian international had revealed back in March that he has a desire to play in the CL in the future. Hence, it is understandable why the prospect of moving to N17 has become an attractive proposition for the central midfielder as of now. Despite that, Leicester City are hoping to extend his current deal and secure his long term future.
The 25-year-old will see his current contract at King Power Stadium expire at the end of the next campaign. This summer would be Leicester’s final opportunity to earn a decent sum for Tielemans if a renewal is out of the cards moving forward. As such, we could use that situation to our advantage and facilitate a transfer move.
That being said, we may not be handed a free run at the Foxes’ ace, considering how he has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Arsenal. However, both of them cannot offer CL football which bodes well for our interest. However, our primary concern is Real Madrid, who are targeting Tielemans as well and are in a far better place than us right now.
However, a move to Antonio Conte’s side would mean that Tielemans can remain in England, which will not be the case with joining the La Liga side. Whether that will play a part in the decision regarding his future or not remains to be seen.

Fabio Paratici and co must do their best to reach an agreement to complete a transfer move for the Leicester superstar. After all, Conte wants the midfielder in his ranks for the next season, which is understandable looking at how they only have four options in their squad right now.
Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele could return from their loan spells, but there are question marks over their future since they were allowed to leave in the first place. Tielemans is a wanted man, and the former duo could make way for him because of that situation.
