It looks like Tottenham Hotspur could miss out on Josko Gvardiol as city rivals Arsenal may beat us to the signing of the 20-year-old, according to The Boot Room (h/t Mirror).
The Croatian has amassed interest from various clubs around Europe after impressing at RB Leipzig in his debut season. Gvardiol is just another name in a long list that the North London rivals have been linked with.
Since Spurs have put their foot off the gas for the time being in the pursuit of the 20-year-old, Arsenal are ready to swoop in for the talented youngster. Should it come to pass, we might come to regret the decision in the future.
After impressing with Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia’s first tier, Leipzig went ahead and brought Gvardiol to the Bundesliga. He quickly established himself as a key member of the German club, featuring in 46 games for the Red Bulls.
The 20-year-old’s performances have merited the interest big European teams have been showing in him. At such a young age, the Croatian has also become a key member for Zlatko Dalic on the national side.
