Roy Keane believes Tottenham Hotspur are Premier League contenders
Speaking in an interview as quoted by Express, Manchester United legend Roy Keane is of the opinion that Tottenham Hotspur have what it takes to be Premier League contenders this season along with Liverpool and Manchester City.
Keane was talking about Man United’s chances and when quizzed about Spurs, he believes that Antonio Conte has done what it takes to make sure they build a competitive squad for next season.
Tottenham have had a very busy summer transfer window making quality acquisitions in various positions. The Lilywhites now have a strong squad with which Antonio Conte can work his magic.
Having gone trophyless for many seasons, it is high time that the North London club did something about winning a trophy and trusting a serial winner like Antonio Conte could be the way to go about it.
Speaking about Spurs’ chances this season, Roy Keane was pretty optimistic about their chances

Roy Keane is not wrong in expecting Spurs to challenge for trophies this season. They have made solid signings but they now need to show quality on the pitch and compete with the big clubs.
Tottenham have been a ‘best of the rest’ club for too long. Things seemed to be changing under Mauricio Pochettino but that project took a downwards spiral almost unexpectedly and the Argentinian manager found himself sacked.
Antonio Conte is the perfect coach to break the myth surrounding Spurs and turn them into regular contenders. If he can do that, then this project will be a huge success for all the signings that the Lilywhites have made.
