Tottenham stars who had difficult life situations

Published

on

In this article, you can find the stories of some of the Tottenham players who overcame difficulties on their way to their cherished careers.

In today’s world, footballers are much more than athletes. They are superstars with million-dollar fees, the looks of Olympic gods, and armies of fans. In general, football is not called the “beautiful game” for nothing.

It does not discriminate or restrict talent and, most importantly, is why hope is alive for millions of young people worldwide.

The history of Tottenham Football Club is full of examples of athletes from different backgrounds who, despite many difficulties, went on with their careers. Let’s take a look at some of their stories.

Davinson Sanchez and litigation over training fees

21-year-old Davinson Sanchez was Ajax’s top player in the 2016/2017 football season, with whom he reached the UEFA Europa League finals. In the domestic championship, he played 32 matches and scored 6 goals.

Sanchez was recognized as the best player of Ajax at the end of this season. In August 2017, Tottenham made an offer to Ajax to sign Davinson Sanchez and received a positive response. The deal cost Tottenham £37.8m.

Fast-forward to 2021, it turned out that Sanchez’s transfer to Tottenham has led to a legal controversy between his former club Atlético Nacional and an intermediary – Néstor Fernando Villarreal.

In litigation proceedings, like those within the football club and the player in his early years found themselves, the services of lawyers, or at least students in the field of law in essay services, are very helpful.

You can use an essay writing service such as if you are having trouble writing a law essay for your college or other institution. By getting high-quality essays from there written by professionals with expert knowledge in the field, you will never run into such problems.

Turning now to the current situation, Villarreal claims that he was charged 5% of the training fee that flowed to Atlético when Davinson Sanchez moved to Tottenham.

The Colombian team Atlético coached the defender. Then of school-going age, he joined their under-20s team in 2013 and rose through the ranks before moving to Ajax in 2016 for £4.5m.

Ajax had to pay a training fee under the FIFA Solidarity Scheme. This aims to reward clubs that have coached young players, especially when such players join different clubs for larger sums in the future.

However, Atlético does not seem to want to pay, so the intermediary has now taken his case to the Medellin Supreme Court to sort things out. Hopefully, these legal proceedings should not affect Sanchez or Tottenham. Yet, everything will depend on further developments.

Anny Rose and the preservation of his career by Mauricio Pochettino

Rose joined Tottenham’s team for the World Cup qualifier against Slovakia in September 2016 after becoming England’s first-choice left-back.

The defender was sent to Sunderland on loan for a season, and up until his first meeting with his new boss, he wasn’t sure of his worth to Spurs. It’s no secret that it made sense, considering how poorly he performed the previous season.

They discussed a wide range of topics for almost an hour, as in university classes. One of the first things Mauricio Pochettino promised was that if Rose adopted his ideology, he would turn him into a player for England. He has kept that promise.

Not all have always been well. The manager has had to put up with many of the player’s mistakes and gave life lessons one by one. Besides, he has always supported him and has become his teacher and mentor.

Rose has, in turn, become his loyal student. Rose finally earned his eighth senior England cap, making him one of the few players to emerge from the disappointment of Euro 2016 with some credit.

Lucas Moura and efforts to advance his football career

Although Lucas’ personal circumstances were far from ideal, he began his career with the club bearing the name of the city he was raised in.

Lucas is a devoted Christian and family guy who was 26 years old and had a wife and children. He refrained from following some of his colleagues down the path of crime since football and the constant learning to play it were his sole passion.

It was very difficult for him in his youth because crime, problems with violence, gangs, guns, and drugs surrounded him everywhere. That’s why we can claim that it was like training of willpower through sports for him.

He played a lot of street football. His dream kept him going, and he did not cringe on the bad path.

Lucas always believed he would achieve his goals and give his family a new life. After all the moves, life’s difficulties, and more, the Tottenham attacker said he could always play better, and education for that is the everlasting way.

Conclusion

For professional players, even of such a well-known team as Tottenham, football remains far more complicated than it seems to fans to be.

Like people in all professions, they start their careers at the bottom and progress from there up, overcoming obstacles along the way to becoming world-class stars.
