Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte considering a return to Juventus

Speaking on TuttoJuve Podcast as quoted by Express, Italian journalist Fabiana Della Valle has claimed that Tottenham Hotsdpur boss Antonio Conte is considering a return to Juventus later this year with Massimiliano Allegri’s job coming under scrutiny in recent weeks.

Juventus have been largely underperforming for the past couple of seasons and their start to the current season has been far from ideal. This has meant that the Italian has been tipped for the sack for some time now.

The Old Lady have won just one of their last eight matches across all competitions and this has put them under a lot of pressure. It remains to be seen how the Italian giants recover from this rut.

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham on the other hand are flying high in the Premier League this season. One of the only two teams who are yet to lose a match in the PL, Spurs find themselves third in the table behind Arsenal and Manchester City.

The Lilywhites made a host of signings in the summer transfer window and this has made the squad very competitive. Conte has made the North Londoners play an attractive brand of football and also produce favourable results.

Just when things seemed to be on the up for Spurs, this news of Juventus wanting to sign Antonio Conte as a replacement if they sack their current manager is likely to set the cat among the pigeons.

It has now emerged that the Italian tactician is open to the idea of returning to a club he managed in the past and this decision might be made later this year if things don’t improve under Allegri.

Spurs would be dreading such a situation and would likely feel betrayed if Antonio Conte jumped ship midseason. Even Conte might not want to do something like that to Spurs but you never know.
