Four Tottenham starlets were in action as England U-21 defeated Italy U-21

Ryan Sessegnon, Oliver Skipp, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie all played a part in the England U-21 vs Italy U-21 friendly as the Three Lions youngsters ran riot against Italy, as revealed by Spurs’ official Twitter handle.

The English youngsters managed to beat their Italian counterparts 2-0 thanks to an early brace from Sheffield United striker Rhian Brewster. The Italians never managed to recover from the blow and were also not helped by a late red card to Nicolo Rovella.

Brewster scored his first goal from the penalty spot after Conor Gallagher was fouled inside the area by Edoardo Bove within the first few minutes. Just a couple of minutes later, the Sheffield man managed to put the ball back into the net again and since then, England didn’t look back.

A number of Spurs players were on display in the match. Although none of the four players managed to get themselves on the score sheet or provide any assists, all four managed to put in impressive displays that Antonio Conte would have been proud of.

Sessegnon, Spence and Skipp all started the game for England and managed to get 71 minutes before being taken off. Udogie on the other hand started off on the bench for Italy but was brought on for the second half replacing Fabiano Parisi.

Udogie is the Lilywhites’ latest acquisition. Spurs signed him from Udinese in the summer and the talented left-back was immediately loaned back to the Italian club. He has been a key player for the surprise package of the season, Udinese and has been impressive a lot.

The talented left-back is expected to be at Hotspur Way next season and considering how well he is performing, Spurs will be happy that they managed to snap up the talented youngster so soon. Another exciting player who has joined the Lilywhites this summer is Djed Spence.

Spence is yet to start a Premier League game for Spurs and is still getting acclimatized to the rigours of the top flight but the former Nottingham Forest youngster shows a lot of promise. However, the player still has a long way to go to become a regular starter.

Skipp is one of the most talented midfielders in the squad. After having a breakout season last time, Skipp’s start to the current campaign has been far from ideal. He got injured during pre-season which ruled him out for a significant time but the talented midfielder is now back in contention.

Sessegnon is probably the most involved player amongst the quartet, and likely the most improved as well. The English wonderkid is really impressive at left wing-back this season and things look really exciting for the talented Englishman.
