Adam Lallana is confident Brighton will deny Tottenham Hotspur all three points

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Adam Lallana is confident of preventing Tottenham Hotspur from winning the game at the Amex Stadium next weekend.

Spurs will travel to face a tricky Seagulls side this Saturday, who currently sit fourth on the table, three behind the north London club.

And now, former Liverpool midfielder Lallana is confident of stopping Antonio Conte’s men from taking all three points. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live (h/t Sussex Live), the midfielder expressed his confidence.

“Even though they drew a blank against Frankfurt, and against Sporting in their previous group game, as long as they’re creating chances that’s all that matters. There won’t be any panic stations just yet, I can assure you. It will be an extremely tough game for us, but I am confident we can get a result.”

The Seagulls have been one of the most surprising sides this season. They have won four of their seven games and held Liverpool to a 3-3 draw last time weekend with Leandro Trossard scoring a hat-trick.

As for Spurs, they did start the new season with flying colours. They were unbeaten till last week when they were humiliated by Arsenal 3-1 in the north London derby.

Conte’s men just sat back and waited to counter-attack with long balls. This tactic failed big time and Spurs ended up paying the price. Brighton are a very attacking team and the same tactic could result in a similar score line as last Saturday.

Their recent visit to Germany was also not so fruitful. Spurs were held to a goalless draw by Eintracht Frankfurt and only had two shots on goal. The players will have to improve themselves if they want to walk with the three points this weekend.
