Tottenham Hotspur loanee Destiny Udogie still has not heard from Antonio Conte
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Destiny Udogie has claimed that he has not heard from Antonio Conte. The left-back joined Spurs this summer for £15 million from Udinese and was loaned back to the club.
He has gotten off to a very good start this season. The 19-year-old has started in seven league games for his side and has helped them beat the likes of AS Roma and Inter Milan in the process.
Now, while speaking to Italian publication La Repubblica via Inside Futbol (h/t Football. London), the Italian Under-21 star claimed he is yet to talk with Conte.
“Serie A helps me to grow. The months I remain here on loan in Udine will be important to improve myself further. With my head now I’m here. To say, I haven’t heard from [Antonio] Conte yet.”
This is surprising to know that the Italian boss has not spoken to his counterpart. Maybe the gaffer is too busy with the team to make time to speak to the 19-year-old.
Plus, it is most likely that he does not want to let the young defender know about the expectations from him, while he is out on loan. With the form the left-back has been in this season, he will likely become part of the Spurs team next season.
Udinese, meanwhile, have been flying high in the Serie A this season. They currently sit third on the table with 19 points, one behind leaders Napoli. Their next game against second-paced Atalanta this Sunday could be very interesting with the Spurs loanee likely to start.

It would be wise for Udogie to not think so much about why Conte has not talked with him. The Italian coach has one of the best man-management in the game and he will likely get a taste of that next season.
