Spurs played a thrilling 3-2 win over the German side in north London on Wednesday. And it was Son who was in the spotlight.

The Korean equalised for his side after Daichi Kamada had given the visitors the lead in the 14th minute. Eric Dier was put under pressure and the Bundesliga club capitalised after stealing possession from him.

However, the north London club soon had a penalty awarded to them, which Harry Kane converted to put his side 2-1 up.

But the best goal was yet to come. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg made a good run inside the box and his cross found the Korean international unmarked at the penalty spot. The 30-year-old sweetly volleyed the ball with his weak foot to make it 3-1.

Frankfurt’s Tuta then saw a red card in the 59th minute for a foul on Son. While the visitors did manage to score late on it was Spurs who walked out with all three points.

Son got off to a very slow start this season, but the Korean has now found his form back. He has played in 13 games so far in all competitions, scoring five times in the process including two in the Champions League.
