Antonio Conte hints of more Tottenham arrivals in the January transfer window
Tottenham Hotspur head coach Antonio Conte has hinted that the club could look to bring in more players in the January transfer window.
Speaking ahead of his side’s clash against Sporting Lisbon this Wednesday, as quoted by Evening Standard, the Italian believes that the club knows the ‘importance’ of bringing players in January.
“I think the club understand very well the importance of bringing in important players, good players in January. I’m not the person who has to explain this to my club. If you ask me in January what happens, when we have to play many other games, we will have to try to do our best.”
Conte signed six senior players this summer which included the likes of Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison. However, results have not been very much favourable for the north London club.

The club started off to a very good start, winning five of their first seven Premier League games. This also included a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
But the club was offered their first reality check against arch-rivals Arsenal. Spurs were defeated 3-1 and those who saw the game will know how the players were aching to hear the full-time whistle.
A similar thing happened against Manchester United too, when they were defeated 2-0. If this was not enough, the club suffered another embarrassing 2-1defeat against Newcastle United last Sunday.
While there is no shortage of players, it is really disappointing to see how the season has progressed after such a good start. The club now sit third on the table with 23 points, 5 behind leaders Arsenal.

Things have been better in the Champions League. Spurs are top of their group and a win against Sporting will secure their place in the next round. It won’t be easy as we lost the first fixture 2-0 and fans will hope we get revenge this time.
