Antonio Conte thinks Spurs superstar Harry Kane will have a ‘fantastic’ World Cup
Speaking in the pre-match press conference as quoted by Independent, Antonio Conte has backed Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane to have a ‘fantastic’ World Cup in Qatar and believes he is physically ready.
There were some question marks over Kane when Conte revealed earlier this week that the English superstar was feeling very tired. However, the Italian tactician’s words now will be offering some hope to all English fans.
He was taken off in the clash against Nottingham Forest midweek in the Carabao cup and Conte attempted to manage his workload but there is no doubt that the English captain has played a lot of football this season.
Kane has started every single game for Spurs this season and has only been taken off twice until now. It is not surprising that the English star was feeling tired but he should be looking forward to the World Cup.
There have been times this season where the 29-year-old striker has carried the Spurs attack with the likes of Son Heung-Min, Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski all suffering injuries simultaneously.
Speaking about the player, Conte has claimed that he thinks Kane will have an excellent World Cup.
“I think and I am sure Harry is going to play a fantastic World Cup because in this season he was never injured, he has had the possibility to have a good training session and he is good physically. He is ready because he is working very well and also we are talking about a player with great experience to manage his body.”
England football fans will be crossing their fingers hoping that the Tottenham star comes out of the game tonight without any injuries. He is their talisman and they need him in Qatar if it has to be ‘coming home’.
Kane will know that an entire nation is resting their World Cup hopes on his shoulder and if he can have a good World Cup goalscoring wise, there is a higher chance of England being in the latter stages of the competition.

One good thing for the Spurs star is the fact that he has an excellent support cast to assist him in Qatar. If all the pieces in the jigsaw come together, England can cook up something special this World Cup and let’s hope that is indeed the case.
