Daichi Kamada gives clear verdict on his future amid Tottenham Hotspur links
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Daichi Kamada has given clear verdict on his future by saying that he is staying at his current club. Tottenham Hotspur are interested in the 26-year-old.
The attacking midfielder sees his current contract expire next summer and will be free to discuss pre-contract terms with other clubs in January. However, the Japanese international has no intention of leaving the Bundesliga club.
Speaking to Sport 1 (h/t Football. London), the 26-year-old midfielder gave his verdict on his future.
“I’m staying in Frankfurt this season. Even if there could be talks with other clubs in winter, I’m not interested in leaving immediately. I am much more demanding than you think when it comes to the clubs I would like to switch to. There have been talks and contacts with big clubs for two years.”
Thanks all of you for your great support in this season. When we started this season, it was really difficult for us and also for me and nobody thought we will become the Champion! But we always believed in ourselves and we made it! It was the best time of my life . pic.twitter.com/9vPopV7oM4

Kamada has been in incredible form for the German side this season. The Japanese playmaker has played 22 games so far in all competitions, scoring 12 goals in the process.
He was also on the scoresheet during his side’s 3-2 defeat against Spurs in the Champions League group-stage game last month. It is not surprising to see Spurs being linked with the attacking midfielder.
Antonio Conte has very good options up front to choose from. But with packed fixtures and constant injuries to attackers, one would think that the north London club do with another attacker in their ranks.
But it looks like that Spurs will have to remove one name from their shortlist. The Japanese star sees his current contract expire next summer, although his recent comments would indicate that he is expecting to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga side.

Kamada is likely to feature for Japan in this World Cup. Decent performances there could entice Spurs to pursue to player despite his commitment to his current side. Whether the midfielder changes his stance remains to be seen.
