Tottenham Hotspur send scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund striker Youssoufa Moukoko
Tottenham Hotspur sent scouts to watch Borussia Dortmund sensation Youssoufa Moukoko in action last weekend in the Bundesliga. This is according to 90min (h/t Football. London).
Moukoko has worked his way through the ranks of Dortmund to establish himself as a regular for Edin Terzic’s side. The 17-year-old has featured in 14 league games for his side so far, scoring six in the process.
Now, he seems to have caught the eyes of Antonio Conte and Spurs, who sent scouts to see him play during his side’s 4-2 loss against Borussia Monchengladbach last weekend. Rivals Chelsea are also interested in the German forward.

It is understandable why Conte wants to add more firepower up front. While the team looks stacked with deadly attackers, recent injuries to the likes of Richarlison, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski showed the actual depth of the squad.
Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil could not meet the standard and expectations set by the aforementioned players and this has led to Conte looking for possible reinforcements up front.
Also, the young striker could be the understudy for Harry Kane and maybe also be his successor. While Kane, who is still at the top of his game, is 29 and will naturally not be the same deadly attacker as some years pass by.
There is a need for a long-term successor and Moukoko could be the one for that. The report also adds that the Spurs scouts also looked at Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram during the same game.
