Tottenham Hotspur to battle Arsenal and Liverpool for France star Marcus Thuram

Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal, and Liverpool are all linked with a move for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Marcus Thuramm as per the Sun (h/t ChronicleLive).

The 25-year-old has slowly made a name for himself in the Bundesliga and has an impressive tally of 13 goals and one assist in 17 games across competitions this season. Spurs would be wise to keep track of this situation.

He is in the final year of his contract at Borussia-Park and could be allowed to talk to foreign clubs in the January transfer window over the prospect of a Bosman transfer. Thuram, aside from his impressive acceleration, has good finishing ability and dribbling skills.

He is of a similar profile to Richarlison in the sense that he too can play anywhere across the frontline and is 25 years old. Arsenal and Liverpool and could prove to be worthy rivals.

Spurs must pursue Thuram

The Gunners have only Eddie Nketiah as Gabriel Jesus’ backup and the Englishman could definitely be upgraded on. The Reds, meanwhile, signed Darwin Nunez this summer.

But both Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are in their 30s and they have the stature to attract players like Thuram given the status of their club. Hence, Spurs have to be proactive.

The first step would be to closely follow his progress in Qatar. He has been named in manager Didier Deschamps’ 26-man squad but isn’t expected to have a starting role – although Karim Benzema’s recent injury and withdrawal from the team can change that.
