Tottenham Hotspur summer target Mohammed Kudus open to Premier League move amid £40 million Ajax demand

Ajax and Ghana star Mohammed Kudus, who Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with recently, is open to moving to the Premier League, according to The Sun.

The Eredivisie champions will likely demand around £40 million for the Ghana international. However, a transfer to an interested club will depend on Champions League qualification.

On top of that, Spanish giants Barcelona are also eyeing the 22-year-old. But the Blaugrana already have a host of attacking talent in their squad, with the likes of Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Ousmane Dembele, Ansu Fati, Ferran Torres and Memphis Depay.

Those close to Kudus have stated that the forward is interested in the English top flight. However, UCL football will be key to entice the Ghanaian to make a move. Thus, a summer transfer is more likely.

Spurs had sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old during pre-season. The North London side wanted to bolster Antonio Conte”s attacking options. However, a deal for the African did not materialise.

Since then, Kudus has been in fine form for Ajax. In the current campaign, he has made 21 appearances for De Godenzonen in all competitions, finding the back of the net 10 times and providing two assists.

The 22-year-old also showcased his talent on the biggest stage in football. At the World Cup, the youngster scored two goals for Ghana in the group-stage fixture against South Korea. Unfortunately, the Black Stars failed to qualify for the knockout rounds.

Currently, Tottenham have a stacked forward line. However, apart from Harry Kane, our other attackers have been underwhelming this season. Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevki were sidelined as well for some time during the campaign for Spurs.
