Agent makes Yousouffa Moukoko admission that may offer Tottenham Hotspur hope
Patrick Williams, the agent of Youssoufa Moukoko, has confirmed that the player’s entourage is not about to conclude on contract negotiations with Borussia Dortmund.
The 18-year-old striker is one of the hottest prospects in the Bundesliga and European football. He has come to the fore as Dortmund’s main man up front after Erling Haaland’s transfer to Manchester City this summer.
The teenager has scored six goals and assisted four times in 14 league games for the Black and Yellow this season. But there is a big possibility where he can leave for nothing.
In what could be a nightmare scenario for Borussia Dortmund, Mouokoko could leave as a free agent in the summer of 2023 (Transfermarkt) if no new deal is signed. He has burst onto the scene in the past few months.
And Dortmund would surely be ruing the fact that they did not get Moukoko to renew his contract earlier. He travelled with Germany to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Despite not making an impression there, just his inclusion in the 26-man squad is enough to increase his reputation and with it, his valuation.
According to Ben Jacobs, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona are among clubs keeping a track of his situation. His agent, Williams, told Sky Germany (h/t Ben Jacobs on Twitter):
“We are not about to conclude a contract extension with Borussia Dortmund.”
