Injury News: Tottenham Hotspur told when Richarlison can return to action

Ange Postecoglou talks about Tottenham striker Richarlison seeking psychological help.

Blow for Tottenham Hotspur as Richarlison told when he can return to action after injury with Brazil

Tottenham Hotspur star Richarlison could be out for up to five to six weeks of action after his injury with Brazil at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, as per Football.London.

He suffered a hamstring injury in his team’s quarter-final defeat against Croatia in Qatar. He played 84 minutes despite supposedly picking up an issue while warming up for the game.

It was definitely a bad move if it contributed to aggravating the injury in any manner. Scans conducted after his return to Hotspur Way show he could be out for up to six weeks of action.

Now that is a massive blow for the club. He was out of action for an extended period of time before the World Cup break after his injury against Everton. Now, he would miss a significant amount of action after the resumption of club football.

Blow for Spurs

Thankfully, we have options in attack. It is almost certain that a front three of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski will start in his absence.

But the former Watford forward was signed for offering competition and being there in case someone was injured. He can’t do that from the sidelines.

The 25-year-old is versatile enough to play anywhere across the pitch and has shown his class with club and country in the past few years. He is as important to us than any other player in our squad excluding perhaps Son and Kane.

Hopefully, this means more opportunities for Bryan Gil and Lucas Moura to prove themselves. But manager Antonio Conte showed that he finds it hard to trust this duo when his star attackers are missing.
