Tottenham Hotspur close to sealing £35m deal for Pedro Porro
Tottenham Hotspur are close to sealing a move for Sporting CP right-wing-back Pedro Porro in the coming days, as per Daily Star.
The move could set Spurs back by 35million Pounds in transfer fees as manager Antonio Conte looks to shore up his right flank ahead of the second half of the season.
Emerson Royal has failed to capture the imagination of Spurs fans while Matt Doherty hasn’t been quite up to the standards to be a regular starter for us just yet. Djed Spence, meanwhile, has played next to no meaningful minutes.

He has been reduced to just three substitute appearances in the Premier League – all as a last-minute introduction. The 22-year-old has evidently not found favour under Conte.
Porro to Spurs?
Perhaps Porro can. Spurs watched him up close twice earlier this season in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
Moreover, he can play as a wing-back, which is crucial to Conte’s system at Spurs. Hopefully, this deal gets concluded soon and wee the former Manchester City player in Tottenham white.
It would, however, be a major setback for Spence and those in the pecking order for a spot down the flank of our defence. It won’t make any sense to have four players in the team that can play down that flank.

But first things first, bringing in world-class talent, or at least players that can be moulded into becoming world-class talent, is what’s important. In that regard, fans would hope that this saga ends and we conclude a deal with Sporting for their star wing-back, who has nine assists already this season.
