Tottenham Hotspur handed a transfer blow in pursuit of Watford star Ismaila Sarr
According to the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a blow in the pursuit of Watford star Ismaila Sarr with Nottingham Forest joining the race for the player.
Sarr is one of the most talented young forwards and impressed one and all in the Premier League with Watford last season. He is still with the Hornets and is tipped with a move back to the top flight.
Tottenham are apparently keen on signing the Senegalese star. They think he will be great depth in the forward positions and can play anywhere across the forward line, much like Richarlison.

However, if the Lilywhites were confident of convincing the talented Watford forward to move to N17, they have been handed a blow with Nottingham Forest supposedly joining the race for the player.
Sarr is not expected to come cheap. Watford signed him for a lot of money and are likely to demand somewhere close to it to maximize the returns on a player who deserves to be playing in the top flight.
The Senegalese star has 18 months left on his current deal. Watford are currently fourth in the Championship table 11 points behind the automatic promotion spots and playing in the playoffs is no easy task.
Sarr would love to play for a top club and that is where Tottenham hold an advantage. Spurs are a top club and the Watford man would have a great time playing under a manager like Antonio Conte.
On the other hand, he is unlikely to get regular game time at Spurs due to the presence of a well-established front three and able deputies. Nottingham Forest though will be able to give him that.
