Arsenal and Tottenham learn asking price for Leandro Trossard

According to talkSPORT (h/t Football. London), Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have learnt how much they will have to pay to sign talented Belgian attacker Leandro Trossard from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Trossard has fallen out with manager Roberto de Zerbi at the Amex stadium and is no longer a part of his plans. It’s a stark contrast to how things were between the pair when the Italian first took over the Seagulls.

Back then, De Zerbi’s most important player in the team and the first name on the team sheet was Trossard. The Belgian was in scintillating form, showing his abilities and influencing games with his goals.

However, ever since returning from the World Cup break, things have gone south for the player and the coach. Now firmly outside the first-team picture, it will be a huge surprise to see Trossard not leaving this window.

Whilst the Italian coach did open the doors for a return for the Belgian should he change his mind and come around, it is very far-fetched and Trossard seems to have his mind set on a move elsewhere.

Arsenal and Tottenham are both interested in acquiring the services of Trossard. They have now learnt that Brighton are asking for £25 million in the January transfer window to sell the player.

Whilst Trossard is definitely worth that amount, his contract situation definitely does not help Brighton. There is no doubt that buying clubs will want to sign him for much less and it remains to be seen if Brighton agree.

Trossard is a very interesting player for Tottenham. He would suit Antonio Conte in the fact that he is very hard-working. He loves to track back and help teammates which is something the Italian would appreciate.

However, where Trossard would fit in at N17 remains to be seen. The forward areas are relatively well stocked and the Belgian might not want a bit-part role. It remains to be seen how they solve this.
