Tottenham Hotspur agree deal to sign young Chelsea striker Jude Soonsup-Bell
Tottenham Hotspur have apparently agreed on a deal to sign Chelsea U21s striker Jude Soonsup-Bell.
The Evening Standard states that the player’s move to Spurs is pending a medical and official signing of the contract. The 19-year-old is rated very highly at Cobham.
However, he has thought of a future elsewhere and is in the final six months of his deal at Stamford Bridge. Surely Chelsea’s new signings would have also been playing on his mind.
Mykhaylo Mudryk and David Datro Fofana are both very young and have been signed as future forwards for the club. Armando Broja is also waiting on the sidelines for his chance once he is fit.
Smart move
A path to first-team football could be more clear at Spurs. Troy Parrott and Dane Scarlett are our only two strike options that look likely to feature regularly down the line for the senior team.
And in all honesty, neither of them have shown the quality necessary to cut it in our first team. Parrott, 20, is on loan at Preston North End while 18-year-old Scarlett is at third-division side Portsmouth.
If Soonsup-Bell makes good progress, there is every chance he can be our first-team forward if and when Harry Kane leaves. The 29-year-old England international is in the final 18 months of his contract.

Sooner or later, we will have to start thinking about a replacement/successor for him. The England U18 international has scored 29 goals and provided seven assists in 78 games for Chelsea’s youth teams across competitions.
He only has one senior appearance for the Blues to date.
