Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Tottenham star Richarlison
According to ESPN, Real Madrid have identified Tottenham’s Brazilian star striker Richarlison as a possible option to reinforce their forward line in the summer.
The news that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Richarlison has certainly raised some eyebrows in the Tottenham Hotspur fan base. The Brazilian forward was a big-money signing for the club, and many had high hopes for him to make a big impact in the Premier League.
However, things have not gone according to plan for Richarlison since he joined Spurs in the summer from Everton. The 24-year-old has failed to score a single league goal for the club, and has made just five starts in the Premier League to date.

Despite his lack of game time, it is clear that Richarlison has the potential to be a top-class player. He has shown glimpses of his quality in his limited appearances for Tottenham, and his performances for Brazil at the World Cup last summer were very impressive.
However, it remains to be seen whether a move to Real Madrid would be the best move for Richarlison at this stage of his career. The Spanish giants are one of the biggest clubs in the world, but they have an ageing striker in Karim Benzema with no genuine alternatives.
The Frenchman, as good as he has been for the club has shown this season that age is finally catching up with him and that injuries are becoming somewhat of a very regular occurrence right now.
It is also worth noting that a move to Real Madrid may not be straightforward for Richarlison. Tottenham paid a significant fee of £60 million for the player, and they will not want to let him go without a significant return on their investment.
It is not just Richarlison that Real Madrid are keeping tabs on. The Spanish giants are reportedly watching other forwards closely, as they look to strengthen their attacking line ahead of next season.
