Newcastle United will listen to offers for Tottenham Hotspur target Allan Saint-Maximin

According to a report by The Athletic, Newcastle United are considering offers for Allan Saint-Maximin, a player who has been on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar for quite some time.

Saint-Maximin is known for his blistering pace, skill on the ball, and ability to beat defenders with ease. His performances in the Premier League have caught the attention of many top clubs, including Tottenham, who were reportedly interested in signing him during the January transfer window.

However, it now appears that Newcastle may be willing to part ways with the 24-year-old winger, as they look to rebuild their squad under new manager Eddie Howe. This is a chance for Tottenham to pounce upon.

This news may come as a surprise to some, as Saint-Maximin has been one of Newcastle’s standout performers in recent seasons. His pace and creativity have often been the catalyst for the Magpies’ attacking play, and he has established himself as a fan favourite at St James’ Park.

However, with Newcastle likely to make several new signings in the summer, it seems that Saint-Maximin may be sacrificed to make room for fresh faces. This could be a golden opportunity for Tottenham to swoop in and secure the services of a player who could add a new dimension to their attack.

It’s no secret that Tottenham have struggled to score goals this season, with their forwards often looking isolated and starved of service. Saint-Maximin’s pace and trickery could provide the perfect solution to this problem, as he would give Spurs an injection of creativity and unpredictability in the final third.

Moreover, Tottenham’s sporting director Fabio Paratici is known to be a big admirer of Saint-Maximin, and his interest in the player was confirmed by respected journalist Alasdair Gold. However, his future is far from certain.

Of course, there will be competition for Saint-Maximin’s signature, with other top clubs also said to be interested in the Frenchman. However, if Tottenham can convince Newcastle to sell, they could have a real gem on their hands.
