Spurs Transfer News: Real Madrid wouldn’t sell Tottenham target Eduardo Camavinga for €200m

Apparently, Real Madrid will not even consider selling Eduardo Camavinga, who is on Tottenham Hotspur’s radar, for even €200million.

This is according to Spanish outlet Defensa Central, who claim that Los Blancos value the 20-year-old midfielder very highly. He has courted interest from the Premier League, including Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Camavinga joined Real Madrid from Stade Rennes in the summer of 2021 as a teenager. He was very highly rated then, and has shown at the Santiago Bernabeu what the hype was all about.

He is a very energetic, box-to-box midfielder who is smooth while dribbling and decisive while defending. He can carry the ball from back to front with flair and is ever-present for his team in the defensive third when their backs are against the wall.

No point wasting time pursuing the Real Madrid star

Such kind of a midfielder, especially one who is so young, will be an asset to most teams in world football. There is no doubt that he will strengthen our midfield to a massive extent if he were to come to N17.

But if the aforementioned claims are to be believed, then surely no club has a chance of prising him away from Madrid. With Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in the final stages of their playing careers, Camavinga will know his role at the club will only become prominent, if it isn’t already.

He has featured in 43 games across competitions this season. Spurs should look elsewhere if they need a midfielder. The France international is contracted to the defending UEFA Champions League winners until the summer of 2027 (Transfermarkt).

It’ll be ideal that Spurs first look at central defence and sign a world-class centre-back. Keeping Harry Kane should also be the priority while a successor for 36-year-old Hugo Lloris wouldn’t hurt before the start of next season. After all this is sorted out, a new central midfielder will be the cherry on the top – if we end up signing any, that is.
