Boost for Tottenham as Julien Nagelsmann drops out of Chelsea race
According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur have been handed a boost as Julien Nagelsmann is no longer an option for Chelsea.
Nagelsmann, the highly sought-after German coach, was said to be the top candidate for the Chelsea job. However, it appears that he is no longer available after multiple rounds of talks. This news will come as a boost for Tottenham, who were reportedly interested in bringing Nagelsmann to the club.
The 33-year-old has been widely tipped as one of the brightest young coaches in world football. He made his name at Hoffenheim, where he guided the team to their first-ever Champions League campaign. He then moved on to RB Leipzig, where he led the team to the semi-finals of the competition.
This got him a huge move to Bayern Munich where he managed the first team for a season and a half. To be fair to him, he did not do that bad to deserve a sack but ended up being a victim of the German giants’ ruthlessness.
Nagelsmann’s style of play is often compared to that of Pep Guardiola, with an emphasis on possession-based football and high pressing. This style would certainly fit in well with Tottenham’s current squad, which includes some talented attacking players such as Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
With the current uncertainty surrounding Tottenham’s managerial position, Nagelsmann could have been an ideal candidate to take over from Antonio Conte. He would be a breath of fresh air after seasons of pragmatic football.
Of course, it’s important not to get too caught up with one managerial name. There are so many other talented managers available right now but Nagelsmann represents a very exciting option.
Tottenham have had a mixed season so far, with some impressive wins but also some disappointing defeats. Consistency is the key word when it comes to our club and the lack of it has been our biggest issue yet.

If Nagelsmann can be convinced to come to N17, there is no doubt he’ll be a great appointment. Only time will tell us how this one goes.
