Burnley boss Vincent Kompany hands managerial blow to Tottenham Hotspur

According to the Sun, Vincent Kompany has handed a managerial blow to Tottenham Hotspur and has decided to stay at Burnley next season.

The Belgian manager has been heavily linked with a move to Tottenham, as well as Chelsea, due to his impressive stint with Burnley in the Championship. However, it looks like he is staying put.

It is understood that he informed his backroom staff of his decision, which comes as a surprise to many Tottenham supporters who were hoping for a new era under his guidance. However, it makes more sense for Kompany.

Despite being under a transfer embargo, Burnley chiefs have promised to back Kompany in the transfer market this summer, which has only further strengthened his commitment to the club.

Meanwhile, Tottenham has been left reeling from their latest humiliation after being hammered 6-1 at Newcastle. The result was a massive blow to the team’s morale and has resulted in the departure of interim boss Cristian Stellini.

In his place, Ryan Mason will take over with immediate effect following a meeting between Daniel Levy and senior players. However, it remains to be seen whether Mason can steer Tottenham back on track.

Tottenham fans are understandably disappointed at the news that Kompany will not be joining the club, as he was seen as the ideal candidate to lead the team to success. However, there are still several other candidates in the running.

Whoever takes over will have a tough job on their hands, as they will need to rebuild a team that has been in decline for several years. They will also need to win over the fans, who have grown increasingly disillusioned with the club’s performances and management.
