Dean Jones believes Harry Kane could swap Tottenham for PSG
Speaking to Ranks FC Podcast, Dean Jones has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane could make the transfer to PSG in the summer.
Kane’s future at Tottenham Hotspur has been the subject of intense speculation, particularly as his current contract is set to expire next year. Following yet another trophy-less season, the 29-year-old may be inclined to seek a new challenge in order to add silverware.
While Manchester United has emerged as the frontrunner to secure his signature, with manager Erik ten Hag reportedly identifying Harry Kane as his primary transfer target, other clubs have also shown interest.
Bayern Munich, in particular, have openly expressed their admiration for the star striker, as they have yet to find a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski, who departed for Barcelona last summer.
In a recent twist, PSG has entered the race for Kane’s services. Although PSG have historically pursued players with local ties, Dean Jones believes they may still consider making a move for Kane.
Here is what Jones had to say about Harry Kane and his prospective transfer to PSG
“It’s opening up that money on the wage bill and maybe they could go down the Harry Kane route. The scepticism I have around it is that PSG are looking to change the model and going for more localised players”
“They want players from Paris or even France to have that connection. Their fans have been hostile recently, but there is potential there, I won’t rule it out, it could happen, but what would you do if you were Harry Kane? Where does he go?”
While a transfer to PSG would undoubtedly offer Kane a high probability of winning trophies, the English striker might find other options more enticing. A move to Manchester United might be better for him.
It would enable him to remain in a competitive league, contend for silverware, and potentially break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal-scoring record, thus cementing his place in football history.

However, it is also plausible that Kane could decide to stay at Spurs for at least another season. The key factor in this decision may rest upon the appointment of their next manager, as a new direction and vision for the club could potentially convince him to remain in North London. Let’s see what the future holds for him.
