Manchester United ask Harry Kane to put in Tottenham Hotspur transfer request
Premier League rivals Manchester United have asked Harry Kane to put in a transfer request at Tottenham Hotspur, according to The US Sun.
The Red Devils are interested in acquiring the English skipper’s services in the ongoing transfer window. However, Daniel Levy has proven to be a stumbling block in the Old Trafford side’s pursuit of the striker.
Spurs have informed United that the 29-year-old is not for sale. As things stand, the Lilywhites are looking to get £100 million for their talisman this summer.
Erik ten Hag is desperate to add a number nine to his ranks. However, the Red Devils feel a valuation closer to £80 million would be fair for Kane. The England international’s current contract is set to expire at the end of next season.
The 29-year-old is still keen on a move to the Old Trafford side. But the Manchester-based club do not want to drag out the saga and hope the forward makes his desire public and pushes for a transfer.
Kane is a valuable asset for Tottenham. The English national has admirably led our line for several years now. He has been consistent since breaking into the first-team setup in the 2014/15 campaign.
We have heavily relied on the 29-year-old over the years. Therefore, despite the threat of him leaving for free next year, it is wise for the North London side to keep a hold of the forward.
In the previous campaign, Kane showcased his importance at Spurs once again. The English national was the only positive of our season, as we struggled under three different managers.

United seemingly need a player like Kane in their ranks, considering they had Anthony Martial and Wout Weghorst as their only two natural options for the number nine position last season. Therefore, the ball is in Spurs’ court for now.
