Tottenham Hotspur eye Jonathan David as Bayern Munich prepare £80m offer for Harry Kane
Tottenham Hotspur are facing an uncertain future as the transfer window looms, with the potential departure of their talismanic striker, Harry Kane.
Multiple European giants, including Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and PSG, have expressed their interest in signing the English striker. However, Daniel Levy has successfully thwarted all approaches till now.
Among the interested parties, it is Bayern Munich who have taken the initiative by submitting an initial bid of £60m. However, Spurs wasted no time in rejecting the offer, deeming it insufficient, as it fell significantly short of their £100m valuation for Kane.
Undeterred by the rejection, Bayern Munich are said to be preparing a second bid worth £80m, hoping to entice the player into pushing for an exit. The German giants are determined to secure the services of the prolific striker.
Nevertheless, Tottenham’s stance remains steadfast, with the club reportedly unwilling to entertain any offer for their star player. Chairman Daniel Levy is said to be willing to take the risk of losing Harry Kane on a free transfer next season, rather than cashing in on him prematurely.
Should Kane indeed leave Tottenham, journalist Ben Jacobs reveals that the club has identified Jonathan David as a potential replacement. The Canadian striker has had a remarkable season in the highly competitive French Ligue 1.
The 21-year-old Canadian possesses an array of attributes that could fill the void left by Kane. David’s clinical finishing, intelligent movement, and ability to link up with teammates have impressed onlookers, making him a promising candidate for the Spurs frontline.
Moreover, his age aligns with Tottenham’s desire to build a young, talented squad for the future. David’s potential for further development makes him an attractive long-term investment that could help propel the club forward.
