Paul Brown makes Tottenham Hotspur transfer claim regarding Jadon Sancho
Tottenham Hotspur see themselves in the market for a new attacking star and one emerging name is that of Jadon Sancho. The Manchester United winger is currently experiencing a turbulent period at Old Trafford.
Spurs made significant moves in the summer getting on board a number of players. However, they had to grapple with the departure of their talisman, Harry Kane, who joined Bayern Munich in a blockbuster deal. Despite these challenges, Tottenham have made remarkable progress in the early stages of the campaign.
Ange Postecoglou, the history-making manager, has secured 26 points from his first 10 Premier League games, certainly setting huge ambitious goals for the team’s future. As the transfer window prepares to reopen in the coming months, the Australian manager is keen on bolstering his squad with fresh talent.
One of Postecoglou’s top targets is none other than Jadon Sancho. Spanish sources via Fichajes have reported that Tottenham are seriously considering offering Sancho an escape route from Manchester United.
Jadon to the Lilywhites?
The winger’s social media comments, in which he claimed to be a scapegoat for United’s poor form, have certainly caused tension with the Dutch tactician. As a result, Sancho has found himself excluded from the squad since late August. Ten Hag appears to believe that his relationship with Sancho is beyond repair and is challenging Manchester United to negotiate an exit strategy as the winter transfer window approaches in January.
With respect to this, journalist Paul Brown feels the Manchester City academy graduate would excel if he completes a high-profile switch to Spurs in the coming months. Here is what he told GiveMeSport exclusively:
“I do think that he probably needs to get out of Manchester United and, personally, I think he’d be a huge hit at Spurs. The only thing is they are not short of forward players and there is already quite a lot of competition
in those areas.”
The potential acquisition of Jadon Sancho presents an intriguing opportunity for Tottenham. Despite his current struggles at Manchester United, Sancho’s talent and abilities could make him a “huge hit” at Hotspur Way.
