O'Hara slams Kulusevski for his under-par displays
Tottenham Hotspur’s season is about to conclude following the 2-0 defeat against Manchester City earlier this week, and Spurs icon Jamie O’Hara has taken a dig at Lilywhites winger Dejan Kulusevski for his performances this season.
The North Londoners started the season on a high; however, the marathon of the Premier League soon caught up to the still-budding Tottenham project as Ange Postecoglou‘s side faltered in their consistency, dropping points and eventually settling for a non-Champions League finish. While the quality and performance of the whole squad depreciated as the season progressed, a few failed to find their feet in the first place, and Swedish ace Dejan Kulusevski belongs to the latter.
He only has a tally of nine-goal contributions all season, which is under par owing to the quality he possesses.
As the Lilywhites progressed against the Cityzens on Tuesday night, many frustrations came out from the pundits, fans, and, surprisingly, from the Tottenham boss as well.
Former Arsenal academy graduate who went on to feature for Spurs, Jamie O’Hara, acknowledged his frustrations with Dejan Kulusevski on TalkSPORT’s live watch of Tottenham vs. Manchester City on their YouTube channel. Jamie insists that the 24-year-old has been bad all season, saying:
“Oh, Kulusevski, by the way, he’s had a bad season. Kulusevski, he’s had a bad season.”
It’s fair to say that the former Juventus star has endured an underwhelming campaign, especially considering the high expectations placed on him.
Tottenham and the officials in the cubicles at Hotspur Way would need to start wondering the possibilities of getting the best out of him next season and encouraging the exceptional performances we are used to from him at N17.
