Spanish giants hold talks with Tottenham as midfielder looks to move on from North London

Unfulfilled potential? Lo Celso looks to depart Tottenham after limited playing time

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Giovani lo Celso has been linked with a move away from White Hart Lane owing to a lack of minutes under his belt in the recently concluded season, and his former employers, Real Betis, are looking to resign the Argentine in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The Copa America winner signed for the North Londoners in a deal that was widely looked around as a coup for Spurs; however, things have not worked out for all parties, and it looks like the former PSG midfielder could call curtains on his time in the N17.

The Lilywhites will be looking to move on from the Rosario-born midfielder this summer as Ange oversees a massive overhaul in the off-season, and the 28-year-old is seen as a potential exit. He only has one year left on his current deal at N17, and the North Londoners will be looking to move on from Gio rather than risking losing him on a free transfer next summer.

Lo Celso on the move? Talks between Tottenham and Betis intensify

Real Betis have identified Tottenham star Lo Celso as a replacement for Nabil Fekir

Real Betis have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old, and per El Mira, the Spanish club is desperate to sign him this summer, with the report stating ‘official meetings’ have already been held with Tottenham. He has been touted as a Nabil Fekir replacement, with the Frenchman looking to bid adieu to Betis this summer.

Lack of playing time will aid in his decision to leave the North Londoners, and alongside Betis, their league rivals Atletico Madrid were also looking to sign the Argentine this summer.
