Ex scout hails this Tottenham star as ‘incredible’ after what he did in pre-season game

Spurs scout predicts bright future for youngster Bergvall

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have plenty to be excited about as they have two incredible talents in their grasp in the upcoming season and beyond; mighty hopes lay on summer arrivals Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall, with former Spurs scout Bryan King praising the latter after his first public appearance donning the Lilywhites badge on Wednesday.

The former head scout at Hotspur Way believes that the Swede is set for plenty of game time at White Hart Lane in the upcoming Premier League campaign.

Bergvall shows promise in Spurs debut

Can Bergvall be a sensation at Spurs?

Bergvall played in the second half of Spurs’ first pre-season friendly of the summer against Hearts while grabbing an assist to his name as Ange Postecoglou’s side finished the fixture with a 5-1 win.

And judging by his performances against Hearts, King suggests that the 18-year-old has the capacity to become a star in North London.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, King said:

“He will be with the first-team squad next season, without a shadow of a doubt. Bergvall won’t be the first player to come from Swedish football at a young age and succeed. Spurs paid a lot of money for him, and he will be treated as a first-team player.

“All I can say is good luck to the boy. If he progresses as he has done in Sweden he could prove to be an incredible addition to the club.”

Lucas Bergvall has been showing his prowess for Djurgården for some time now, although it is to be seen how he takes on the football in England. That being said, it is easy to forget that he is still only a teenager and needs space and time to attain his potential.
