Son Heung-Min 2.0? Tottenham close in on young South Korean star
Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has all but confirmed that the North Londoners are set to make their fourth signing of the summer in Min-hyuk Yang without naming the player.
The Lilywhites are on the verge of completing a deal to bring the South Korean prodigy to N17 from Gangwon FC, as reported per Fabrizio Romano.
The 18-year-old has been identified as a player with high potential by the Lilywhites scout. And the Australian gaffer recently spoke about the potential incoming and the diverse talent pools, including that of the K League, something that he became familiar with during his time in Celtic.
Tottenham’s boss acknowledged the quality of South Korean players and the impact that they have had on European football, citing Heung-Min Son’s stint at White Hart Lane as an example.

“Yeah, again I’m well aware of the quality of the K League. When I was at Celtic we were looking to bring over at least a couple of Korean players at the time and I think they’ve brought a couple over. Again they’ve made a fantastic impact in Europe, a lot of Korean players, none bigger and none better than our own Sonny. He’s just an outstanding player and an outstanding person. He’s the captain of our club and he’s just an outstanding individual, we’re super happy to have him at our football club. So yes, we’ll be looking far and wide for players and as you rightly said, it is difficult for me to discuss.”
