£40k a week Tottenham midfielder continues gathering interest from Premier League clubs

Tottenham have had a productive summer this time round in terms of player arrivals and departures, and if their own manager is to be believed, things are going to only amp up before the transfer window slams shut.

One player the Lilywhites are willing to let go this summer is Oliver Skipp.

Luckily for the 23-year-old, he is not short of suitors.

Oliver Skipp on the radar of multiple Premier League clubs

As reported by The Telegraph, Skipp is being eyed by all three newly promoted clubs: Southampton, Leicester City, and Ipswich Town.

Skipp has a lot of credit in the bank owing to his productive loan season at Norwich City during their Championship-winning 2020/21 season.

For Spurs, however, Skipp is evidently surplus to requirements, having made just 24 appearances across all competitions last season despite being available for most of it.

Skipp’s current contract at Spurs fetches him £40,000 every week and is set to run until June 2027.

The former England U21 international is valued by Transfermarkt at €15 million (£12.83 million) and has been at Spurs since the age of eight.

Spurs should let him go

If Ange Postecoglou does not want Skipp to stay, the club should move him on, simple as that.

More Tottenham Hotspur News:

At 23, Skipp is entering an age where he needs regular game time. He’s a tidy and reliable operator in the middle of the pitch and could prove to be a bargain acquisition for any Premier League side, which explains the interest in him from the newly promoted teams, for whom the priority will be to not go down straight back this season.
