Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to compound their roster going into the next season as the club looks to build on the highs they enjoyed last season. Daniel Levy has been a man on a mission in the ongoing summer transfer window, as he has added some explosive players to the roster at Ange Postecoglou’s disposal this off-season.
The club would be aiming to compete for the Champions League places in the upcoming season as they look to play an attacking brand of football with an attractive basis, which can keep the supporters on the edge of their seats.
Spurs to trigger Son contract extension
As they look to build on the squad with newcomers, it is also important to ensure that the marquee players from the current crop do not seek challenges elsewhere. The club has been looking to extend Hueng Min-Son’s current deal at White Hart Lane to ensure that the South Korean skipper continues at the club for as long as possible.
The Lilywhites are set to trigger a one-year contract extension in the former Bayer Leverkusen’s contract, per Ben Jacobs, which will see him stay at the club until the summer of 2026.
Son has been a crucial presence at N17 since signing from the Bundesliga in 2015. He has gone on to make over 400 appearances for the club while notching 162 goals and 84 assists. The winger currently earns around £190,000 per week on his current contract.
