Tottenham are considering a late move for AS Monaco right-back Vanderson after having doubts over Djed Spence
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to be in the market for more signings from now on and until the end of the summer transfer window.
The north London side have signed Lucas Bergvall, Archie Gray and Dominic Solanke, whilst re-signing Timo Werner on loan from RB Leipzig. Ange Postecoglou should be relatively pleased with his team’s transfer dealings thus far, but certainly, he would like to bring in a couple of newer faces before the August 30 deadline.
The Greek-Australian tactician also has decisions to make on several players over whether he wants to keep them in the squad or let them leave. One such player Tottenham have a dilemma over is Djed Spence.
According to GIVEMESPORT, Spurs have reservations over whether Djed Spence is ready to come into a side ‘boasting Champions League aspirations’.
Spence arrived at Tottenham in a £20 million deal from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2022 as a then highly-rated right-back/wing-back. The Lilywhites had beaten competition from several clubs to land him two summers ago.

However, things haven’t worked out for the 24-year-old at Spurs thus far, with the full-back spending the last 18 months out on loan—the latest of which is at Italian side Genoa. After a promising spell with Genoa, it was expected the Serie A side would sign him permanently from Spurs. But after a move to Genoa failed to materialize earlier in the summer transfer window, Spence was given chances to impress in the pre-season by Ange Postecoglou.
