Tottenham striker Dominic Solanke is expected to be fit in time to face Arsenal on Sunday
Tottenham Hotspur adequately backed their head coach Ange Postecoglou during the summer transfer window.
The North Londoners made some exciting new acquisitions, with their prominent arrivals being striker Dominic Solanke from Bournemouth and midfielder Archie Gray from Leeds United. After going an entire season without sufficiently replacing the legendary Harry Kane, Ange Postecoglou urged the club to splash the cash on Dominic Solanke in the past summer transfer window.
Having arrived in North London from the sea coast of Bournemouth for a club-record fee, Solanke has not enjoyed a smooth start to life as a Tottenham player. He made his official Spurs debut in the 1-1 draw to newly promoted Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
However, the striker suffered an ankle injury in the game and subsequently missed the club’s next two fixtures against Everton and Newcastle United.

With the high-voltage North London Derby on the horizon, the Sun journalist Tom Barclay has dropped an injury update on Solanke. The journalist says the one-cap England international has been training this week and is expected to be fit for the derby showdown against Arsenal.
“Let’s talk about the attacking options. Richarlison looks like he’s going to be out. Dominic Solanke, I am led to believe he’s been back running this week, and that correlates with Ange’s original comments when he was injured,” Tom Barclay provided the update on the Tottenham Way Podcast.
“It’s quite likely he will be fit for this game. First of all, that’s huge because against Newcastle they seemed to really lack that presence up front.”
