Tottenham want to sign Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey

Tottenham Hotspur had expressed expressive desires to sign a new midfielder in the recently concluded summer transfer window; however, that was one thing on the list that didn’t tuck through in what was a magnificent window at White Hart Lane. And the Lilywhites had been linked with a move for multiple midfielders from across the Premier League and Europe, including Aston Villa midfielder Jacob Ramsey.

There were wide reports suggesting the Lilywhites pursuit to sign the homegrown number eights, with the Athletic claiming consideration for a move for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher alongside Jacob Ramsey. However, for one of the other reasons the North Londoners couldn’t sign them.

However, as it turns out, Spurs could be looking at possibilities to sign one of the aforementioned players who can possibly be available in the upcoming windows.

Per the Daily Mail, Ramsey is still a matter of interest among multiple English top-tier clubs, including Tottenham, as the report claims how Spurs as well as Arsenal failed in their pursuit of the player last summer.

Villa reportedly decided to keep hold of the player after riding through the PSR storm; however, it looks like Ramsey might be on the move in 2025.

For Tottenham, it will be wonderful to bring in a grinding midfielder who can not only balance the midfield but also bring creative output to the game. Yesterday’s game against Brighton needed someone like Jacob to step up and control the tempo of the game. Spurs don’t have such capabilities on their roster right now.
