For most of the recent summer transfer window, Tottenham were planning ahead, signing youth prospects and in doing so going toe-to-toe with other Premier League heavyweights.
Seemingly ready to continue in the same vein, the Lilywhites are emerging as suitors of yet another promising future star.
Tottenham could line up offer for Liam Delap next summer
As reported by Fichajes, Tottenham have emerged as one of the leading admirers of Ipswich Town forward Liam Delap.
The 21-year-old joined the Tractor Boys just this summer from Man City in a deal worth up to £20 million, but his commendable start to the season means it won’t be long before bigger and better opportunities are presented to him.
The Man City academy graduate already has four goals this season from seven Premier League games—two-thirds of his side’s entire goals tally.
The England U21 international has in place at Portman Road a £20,000-per-week contract running until June 2029.

With Dominic Solanke on-boarded just this season and Mikey Moore being given more opportunities, it would be a fair question to ask as to what exactly would Tottenham achieve by signing Delap?
And why would Delap want to join a project where he will have to return to the bench again, to avoid which he left Man City in the first place?
Ipswich Town have the guile and talent to not get relegated from the Premier League this season, though it won’t be be a disaster even if they did. But if Delap’s start to the season is anything to go by, one can safely assume that he won’t have to go down to the Championship again anytime soon.
