Former Tottenham scout slams Pedro Porro transfer admission.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Pedro Porro has been subject to links with a move away from White Hart Lane as La Liga giants Real Madrid express interest in his signatures. The Spaniard has been putting in some impressive performances off late, and that, complemented by the strides he has taken since moving to North London, reciprocates the whys behind Los Blancos interest.

Madrid are looking to replace Dani Carvajal in the upcoming summer transfer window, and they have been looking at Trent Alexander Arnold as the first-choice replacement; however, the fact that the England international might stay put at Liverpool is forcing them to consider alternatives, with the Spanish right back being the first option.

This should be a cause of concern for the Lilywhites faithful as Madrid express interest in another Spurs defender.

However, for Pedro Porro, he has been one of the better full backs in the Premier League, and the Madrid links show his progress at White Hart Lane. And the Spaniard has been speaking about the links with a move to La Liga giants, via. Fabrizio Romano. He said, “Of course, I’m proud with these links; it means I’m doing things well. If that happens one day, it happens. Now I’m fully focused on my club, Tottenham.”

And former Spurs scout Bryan King has slammed the £85,000 per week ace for his comments suggesting he ‘get on with the job’. Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, King said:

-> Tottenham nearly signed this £32 million striker instead of Solanke

“His job is to play for Tottenham. That is the club that pays him; if he isn’t playing and he becomes unsettled, then maybe he can start talking about moving clubs.

“However, until then, Tottenham are your club; get on with the job. Of course, he will be proud of the links. Real Madrid are one of the world’s biggest clubs, and if they’re seriously interested, it means he is doing something right.

“We’ve seen Cristian Romero linked to Madrid. Spurs have a relationship with them; they’ve had Luka Modrić, and Gareth Bale go there.”

Porro will return for Tottenham as the Premier League resumes in the upcoming weekend when the Lilywhites host West Ham, and he will be hoping to prove his credentials once again.
