Paratici leading Tottenham pursuit of the North American Alexandre Lacazette

Date:

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to sign a new striker to serve as an understudy to marquee summer arrival Dominic Solanke. The consistent injury problems complemented by his struggle to find his feet at White Hart Lane have got Spurs chiefs frustrated over Richarlison, and they are expected to sanction a sale for the Brazilian international in 2025 with a highly regarded replacement lined up for the former Everton man.

The Lilywhites were linked with Canadian striker Jonathan David for the majority of the previous window, and while Daniel Levy decided not to pursue his signatures, he may be back on the table again to try to land the striker from the French top tier. And according to a recent report via. Inter Live, former Spurs managing director Fabio Paratici is playing a key role behind the scenes to potentially land the 24-year-old ace.

While the Italian no longer works in an official capacity at Hotspur Way, he still maintains heavy involvement around the transfer activities at White Hart Lane as he takes advantage of his vast network to aid Spurs pursuit of securing highly regarded talents.

And he is set to continue to do so as he is set to lead the operations for Tottenham to sign the Gent academy graduate on a free transfer next summer when his contract at Stade Pierre-Mauroy runs due.

Spurs aren’t the only team interested, as the likes of Inter Milan, Juventus, Arsenal, and Chelsea have also expressed interest in the 24-year-old striker. However, with Paratici’s involvement, Tottenham are likely to be strong contenders for his signatures.
