Tottenham could derail Arsenal’s pursuit of PL proven goalscorer

Ange Postecoglou plays down injury concerns of Tottenham star Archie Gray.

Tottenham Hotspur have been looking to bring in a new forward in the upcoming 2025 transfer intervals, and the North Londoners have been looking at a potential move for Brentford ace Bryan Mbeumo, who has been subject to intensive links with a move to White Hart Lane after the player hinted of a possible Lilywhites transfer in a video that emerged on Reddit that showed the Bees ace speak after Brentford’s pre-season friendly against AFC Wimbledon back in July.

The 25-year-old has been playing some entertaining football in the ongoing 2024/25 campaign, having scored eight goals in nine Premier League outings, and multiple Premier League clubs are looking to get their hands on the information forward.

Premier League clubs battle for Mbeumo

The likes of Arsenal and Liverpool have been the front runners to his signatures going into the winter transfer window, while Tottenham have been among the links for a move as well. And amid aggressive interest from Premier League heavyweights, the West London clubs are expected to demand a sum that aggregates in excess of £60 million for the Cameroonian international, per Football Insider

Arsenal have been looking to bring in a highly acclaimed forward to complement Kai Havertz as they look to fill in for Brazilian international Gabriel Jesus owing to his injury problems—something quite similar to what the Lilywhites have been struggling with with Richarlison off late—and the North London neighbours have identified the same player as a potential solution to their attacking woes.

As the January transfer window approaches, Tottenham, alongside Premiership heavyweights, will be looking to secure Bryan Mbeumo’s services, knowing that the competition will be strong. That being said, he is a bargain at that price given his current run of form and could level up Tottenham’s offensive options greatly.
