Tottenham eye January move for former Rangers favourite Malik Tillman.

As Tottenham gears up for the upcoming clash against Aston Villa on 3rd November, manager Ange Postecoglou remains absolute in his vision for the club’s evolution. Despite past disappointing results, Postecoglou emphasises the importance of maintaining focus and growing from mistakes.
Only Spurs can transform from suffering a 1-0 defeat against Crystal Palace to claiming a thrilling 2-1 victory over Manchester City. This absolute joyride of a team brings out both anger and happiness in their supporters.

Postecoglou has inherited a squad filled with potential but burdened by the weight of expectations. His commitment to evolving the team’s playing style and instilling a winning mentality may be the key to breaking the trophy drought that has lingered for over a decade and a half.

Is silverware finally arriving at Spurs?

In the presser ahead of the Villa-Spurs clash, Ange notes (h/t Youtube):

“What we have to do before the game and after the game is stay really focused on continuing to evolve into the team we want to be. At the moment in the league we have had some disappointing results, but only really one disappointing performance with the Palace game. It wasn’t a great performance, and we got what we deserved.”

Ange Postecoglou has emphasised that achieving success hinges on consistency, and this season, the team is demonstrating strong performances even with six key players sidelined due to injury. He acknowledges that the disappointing result against Crystal Palace was entirely self-inflicted, attributing the loss to silly mistakes and players standing around instead of actively engaging in the game. Despite dominating possession with 66%, Tottenham struggled to cope with counter-attacks, allowing Palace to register 14 shots. While the defence held firm, the lack of finishing prowess in the attack rendered the game lacklustre, leading to a loss that Postecoglou believes they deserved.
