“He will be creating a problem for himself…” Postecoglou urged to placate ‘restless’ Tottenham fans

Tottenham Hotspur have incurred a disappointing loss against Ipswich Town at the weekend, and the club continues to endure an inconsistent run of form off late. This has left the Lilywhites in tenth place in the Premier League table, something that is far from their season objective of finishing in the top four and potentially qualifying for the Champions League.

The slow start to the season has caught up with the Australian head coach as the supporters start to get frustrated with his side, with many also calling for a potential sack.

Daniel Levy has done his job by handing Ange Postecoglou all the required resources to potentially compete in the English top tier; however, that hasn’t been replicated on the pitch, and the 2-1 defeat against Premier League newcomers shows how the current side is lagging and lacking the consistency needed to challenge for European spots.

Postecoglou need to get back to winning ways at Tottenham

The current Lilywhites roster has talented players complemented by a well balanced and structured squad; however, Tottenham’s performances have been far from convincing, and former Spurs scout Bryan King insists that the former Celtic manager must turn things around at White Hart Lane before he digs a hole and creates a “problem” for himself.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Tottenham News, King suggests that the only way for Spurs to turn things around and get out of this setback is by winning the upcoming games.

He said:

“Postecoglou certainly has to start putting some results together. Otherwise, he will be creating a problem for himself. You’re always going to get one or two who are never satisfied. That is all part of the game.

“I think Postecoglou has been in the game long enough to not worry about it. However, when something like that starts, you want to quell it as soon as you can and to do that you need to keep winning games.

“As long as you’re winning, you won’t get these incidents. However, the moment you start losing games like the one against Ipswich, fans are going to become restless.”

The possible idea of sacking Ange Postecoglou seems a bit farfetched at this point; however, the current run of form will definitely be a start of conversation between Levy and Postecoglou. For now, it looks like he will stay at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, although if the current run of form continues after the international break, he might need to start packing his bags.
